Some riders prefer to make "break shoes" as in closed road events speeds can reach over 60 mph and the extra rubber helps to control cornering in a race scenario, kinda like street lugers.

Yeah I had another one after that that isn't in the video, wrecked at about 35mph bent and twisted the forks, and turned the left side of my ass purple;)

Absolutely mine has a set of 990 and a 170mm disc. When we run its always an OPEN road we have lead and chase trucks with flashers going, we try to be as safe as possible, this is what makes our sport...
